Roaring Falls

These falls are named such because of the wind that is constantly blowing around them. They drop from a sheer cliff which stands at least eighty feet above the river beneath it. Scrawny, windblown trees have settled on the cliff sides and moss makes climbing the rocks a dangerous and slippery task. The pool at the bottom of the falls is partially covered by the cliffs in such a way that when the wind is right water hits the back and the concussion sounds like some gigantic beast roaring.
